“Young Master Su, do you have time to hang out?”

“Old Cheng, I’m tied up today. Can’t we talk over the phone?”

Upon reaching Li Quan Hospital, Su Nanchen turned the steering wheel and drove in.

Luckily, there was a parking space at the entrance. As Su Nanchen got out of the car, Boss Cheng was already waiting at the entrance. The urgency was evident.

They leased these several floors and converted them into a hospital. A lot of thought was put into the decoration to make it look high-end. Boss Cheng also invested heavily in training his doctors. The chief surgeons were all personally trained by him. They were also sent to South Korea’s Samsung Medical Center for a year of training in rotation. Samsung Medical Center’s sports medicine is considered a global leader.

The reception nurse at the entrance was tall and beautiful, quite pleasing to the eye. She led Boss Cheng and Su Nanchen upstairs with a smile.

The beautiful nurses at the reception desk in the foyer were whispering and giggling. They recognized Young Master Su, who frequently visited. He was their dream man – highly educated, from a good family, a handsome surgeon who drove a BMW X5. Which girl wouldn’t be moved? Every time he passed through the lobby, he attracted admiring gazes.

“Young Master Su, please come in!” Boss Cheng said.

“Old Cheng, what’s the rush?” Su Nanchen seemed a bit discontent.

Su Nanchen was still on the road when Boss Cheng started chattering. The noise was too much, and he was driving, so he didn’t quite catch what was said.

“Let’s talk after we go in!”

Once they entered Boss Cheng’s spacious and well-lit office, Su Nanchen, being an old friend, made himself at home. He plopped into the boss’s chair, spun around a few times while Boss Cheng quickly prepared some tea and sat across him.

People in the south like to drink tea while discussing matters, often sealing multimillion-dollar deals over a few cups of tea.

“Have some tea first!” After being in such a rush earlier, Boss Cheng was now keeping silent.

Su Nanchen lifted his eyelids: “Old Cheng, I’m only passing by. I only have a few minutes. Just cut to the chase, don’t beat around the bush. I don’t have time to dawdle!”

“Young Master Su, I’ll just say it then, don’t be angry.” Old Cheng was trying to preempt any adverse reaction.

“You have not even said anything yet. Why would I get mad at you?” Su Nanchen looked at him with disdain.

Boss Cheng knotted his brows, as though gathering courage to speak: “Brother, I’ve taken in a patient with a four-part knee joint injury. He was referred by someone else.”

Before Su Nanchen could respond, Boss Cheng quickly continued, “Yunjian has already done more than ten knee and shoulder multi-ligament reconstruction surgeries. If I don’t start doing it, I’ll be left far behind. Didn’t you tell me to wait for the technology to mature before trying it? If I keep waiting, I won’t be able to hold my head high. They’ve got Professor Ye backing them, and they’re trying to oust me. Do you know how this patient came to us? Damn it, he was referred by Yunjian. They said their schedule was tight and asked the patient to come to us. Isn’t this a slap in my face? They know we can’t do it now. If I can’t do it, it will spread like wildfire, saying that surgeries Yunjian can handle, Liquan can’t. They’re hitting me real hard.”

Yunjian has other ventures, including Yunjian Sports Medicine Hospital, Yunjian Spinal Minimally Invasive Hospital, Yunjian Cosmetic Surgery Hospital, and Yunjian Dental Hospital. The owner is a Fujianese, and with the collaboration of his brothers, they hold quite a few hospitals under their control. In the private hospital sector of G City, they are undoubtedly significant figures who wield considerable influence.

Su Nanchen raised his head and said, “Brother Cheng, if it were before, I would advise you not to compete against them, as you wouldn’t be able to win. But now, I support you to go ahead with this surgery.”

Previously, when Su Nanchen was invited several times to perform this surgery, he firmly declined. So why does he seem so willing today? Could he be speaking sarcastically to mock himself?

Boss Cheng’s eyes darted around, “Young Master Su, you’re not joking with me, are you?”

“When have I, Su Nanchen, ever joked about surgical matters?” Su Nanchen sounded very serious.

Boss Cheng was once again bemused by Su Nanchen, “Young Master Su, why do you keep joking today? Who are you referring to? Professor Ren from Huashan in Shanghai?”

The only one who could be compared to Professor Ye was indeed Professor Ren from Huashan in Shanghai.

“Not him either! I said a young person, anyway, you don’t need to bother about it. When I have arranged the person, I’ll let you know, and you’ll find out then.” Su Nanchen finished off his tea in one gulp.

Boss Cheng also followed suit and finished his tea, before refilling both teacups with the scalding hot brew.

Shedding his gown and gloves, Yang Ping picked up his phone.

Su Nanchen had sent him a WeChat message: ” Whenever you’re free, there’s a reconstructive surgery for a four-ligament injury in a knee joint at a private hospital owned by a friend of mine, Li Quan! If you have time, would appreciate your help. Also, I’d love to learn from you! I benefitted greatly from watching your video last time.”

Yang Ping pondered for a while, Saturday wouldn’t work since he needs to either accompany Xiao Su for shopping or play ball with her. Even though playing meant being dominated by her, he still had to let her do it.

Sunday then, Li Quan Sports Medicine Center, Yang Ping knew about the place. It was a high-end private specialty hospital.

When he returned to the ward, Yang Ping informed Director Han that he was going elsewhere to perform surgery. This was a sensitive matter, so he needed to report it. It might lead to speculations of his loyalty if he didn’t.

Having listened, Director Han laughed heartily. He was deeply moved by Yang Ping’s loyalty and was very happy that Yang Ping’s name was gradually spreading in the circle. “Go! Of course, you should go. Not only should you go, if they are willing to cooperate with you, you can have a long-term collaboration. It can serve as an external base for you. “Little Yang, be cautious while performing surgery outside. You might want to consider practicing more in the future, but you should refrain from doing so during your early days. No matter what type of surgery it is, allow the doctors from the other hospital to participate as well. This can help avoid certain legal issues. Call me if you have any questions.” Director Han instructed Yang Ping.

This boy is gaining some reputation and has been invited to perform a surgery outside.

Director Han was filled with joy inwardly.
