Transforming it into a spear, he thrust directly at the Base Mutation Egg.

After all this effort, he had grown somewhat hungry, so he thought getting something to eat wouldn’t be so bad.

Of all his pets, the Frost Swordsman’s destructive power was the strongest now.

The Frost Swordsman appeared before the giant egg, gripping his greatsword with both hands and delivering a direct slash at the egg.

The greatsword crashed down upon the giant egg with violent force, and with a clang, again no scratch appeared on the surface.

This truly surprised Lin Shen; even with a force of 41 and armed with a sharp weapon, the Frost Swordsman failed to leave a mark—just how hard was the shell of this giant egg?

Lin Shen did not command the Frost Swordsman to cease; he continued landing continuous strikes.

Despite blow after blow landing on the shell, not a single mark could be made.

Lin Shen had no choice but to order the Frost Swordsman to stop, taking a closer look at the gigantic egg once more.

“Could this really not be an Ascension Egg?” Lin Shen was filled with doubt.

“A humanoid creature!” Lin Shen took one glance and started to run even faster.

The creature was like a human clad in heavy armor, its carapace mainly bronze-like, with edges that glowed like green crystal.

Lin Shen had never seen a Base Variant Creature like this before; steel was steel, crystal base was crystal base, but this creature seemed to possess the properties of both steel and crystal base.

“No way!” While Lin Shen was praying, the creature suddenly bent its legs and with a powerful stomp, leaped into the air.

Its leap propelled the body like a cannonball towards Lin Shen on the mountaintop.

“Oh, come on, won’t you eat something instead of coming after me?” Lin Shen leaped down from the summit.

At the same time, he drew his Pet Launcher and ejected Big Red Bull.

By the time he landed, he was perfectly astride Big Red Bull’s back, immediately urging the steed to race away at full speed.

The Base Variant Creature, having landed atop the summit, glanced at the fleeing Big Red Bull and leaped down from the mountain, chasing at an even faster pace.
