He had brought Sophia Leocadia here just to scare the girl away.

Julius made a silencing gesture, pointing toward Quella Radcliffe’s room, “What’s gotten into you, getting up so early? Don’t wake up Quella with your noise!”

Anna Harris was notoriously lazy, usually not getting up until eight or nine o’clock when she lived with them.

Now it was winter, and it was still dark at five in the morning. Why was Anna Harris up so early?

This didn’t make sense!

Anna Harris took the toothbrush out of her mouth and scoffed at Julius, “What? Caught in the act and you’re afraid to speak up, worried your wife will hear? Julius, you really are such a good man!”

She closed her eyes, adopting a resigned-to-fate expression.
